IOP Beach Run 2026 - Isle of Palms, SC

The IOP Beach Run 2026 is a community running event held on the beach behind the Windjammer at 1008 Ocean Boulevard, Isle of Palms, South Carolina. The course is entirely on the flat, wide, hard-packed beach near low tide. Packet pickup and race-day packet services are provided at the Windjammer and pre-race pickup is scheduled the week of the event.

Distances offered include:

  • 5K Run
  • 5K Walk
  • 1 Mile Fun Run (ages 9-14)
  • 1/2 Mile Fun Run (ages 5-8)
  • 100 Yard Fun Run (age 4 and under)

Awards are presented for overall male and female winners in the 5K and 10K and for the top two male and female finishers in each age group from 12 & under through 65 & over. Youth fun runs receive ribbons for all finishers and do not have age group awards. All runners and walkers will be timed and results will be posted on the Isle of Palms recreation site or RunSignup. Entry fees are non-refundable and participants may enter only one event. Parking information notes Municipal Parking Lot B on Pavilion Drive and that parking passes are included in pre-registered packets or provided on race morning. Trail runs nearby

A looped ultramarathon on the Jericho Horse Trail in Francis Marion National Forest offering distances from 10 km to 100 miles, hot swamp conditions in June, three aid stations, and specific pacer rules for longer distances.

Trail running at Johns Island County Park on a roughly 3.3 mile loop with 5K, 10K, half marathon, and marathon distances. On-site camping, packet pickup, an aid station at the start/finish, and volunteer discount options are available.

A multi hour trail event at Johns Island County Park offering 6, 12, 24 and 34 hour options on a 2.6 mile shaded loop. Registration includes swag, food, primitive camping and a finisher medal for completing at least one lap.

A 50 mile, point to point road run around Charleston and Mount Pleasant with a limited field of 75 entrants. The course is unmarked and self supported, with a small entry donation to help cover tracker rental.
