Frozen: H3
Frozen: H3 is a multi-distance trail running event held in Bethera, South Carolina, within the Francis Marion National Forest on the Jericho Horse Trail. The event offers the following distances:
- 100 Miler
- 50 Miler
- 50K
- 25k
- Night 25k
- 10k
The course uses a combination of a 16 mile loop and an 18 mile loop composed of dirt fire roads, single track, and double track. The 10k is an out-and-back with a marked turnaround and no aid on route. There are three fully stocked aid stations: one at the start/finish and two on the course. The main aid station provides a range of foods and rotating hot items; two on-course stations add hot options during early morning and overnight hours. Porta potties are located at the start/finish and both aid stations. Runners may keep drop bags at the start/finish or at vehicles, and crew access to aid stations is permitted.
Pacers are allowed at the halfway point for the 50 and 100 mile distances. Night running requires a personal light and backup power. Dogs are not permitted on the course per insurance policy. The event is part of a Swamp Series where cumulative miles across three races determine series winners, with a time-based tie breaker. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
