Frozen: H3

Frozen: H3 is a trail running event held on the Jericho Horse Trail in the Francis Marion National Forest near Bethera, South Carolina. The event features multiple distances and looped courses that use dirt fire roads, single track, and double track trail.

Distances include:

  • 100 Miler
  • 50 Miler
  • 50K
  • 25K
  • Night 25K
  • 10K

The course uses 16-mile and 18-mile loops for the longer events; loop counts for each distance are provided in the runner guide. The 10K is an out-and-back with a marked turnaround and no aid on course. Pacers may join 50 mile and 100 mile runners at the halfway mark. Dogs are not allowed on the course per the event insurance policy.

Three aid stations will be staffed and stocked: one at the start/finish and two on course. The main aid station will offer typical ultra snacks and hot food options including smash burger quesadillas. On-course aid stations will also provide hot options early morning and overnight. Porta potties are located at the start/finish and both aid stations. Runners must check in at each aid station and wear their bib on the front of their body.

Night running requires a light and spare power or batteries. Camping is permitted at the start/finish area off the side of the road beginning Friday at noon; this is not an official campground. Cutoff times, awards, swag deadline, registration close date, and other operational details are provided in the runner guide. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
