Shake Your Trail Feathers

Shake Your Trail Feathers is a trail running and walking event at Laurel Hill County Park in Mount Pleasant, SC. The course leads participants through wooded paths and rolling dirt trails and includes areas of hard-packed trail, roots, and grass. Occasional sections have uneven terrain.

The event offers multiple distance options:

  • Kids Dash : confidence-building race for young runners
  • 5K : trail race on park paths
  • 10K : longer trail distance through park landscape

The event is open to runners and walkers, including first-time participants and experienced athletes. Participants ages 10 to 15 may register only when accompanied by a registered adult chaperone. Shirt sizes are not guaranteed for registrations received after 10/16/26. Registration ends Wednesday, November 4.

Race day packet pick-up is available on-site. The organizers encourage bringing a personal water bottle as the event aims to reduce single-use cups. Pets are not allowed on the course and strollers are not recommended.
