The Murder Mile Halloween Horror

The event is a nighttime trail run held on private land near Franklin, TN, at 9600 Big East Fork Rd. It uses a roughly 1.1-mile loop that the organizers decorate with spooky lighting and sound effects. Each loop has about 340 feet of elevation gain and includes two steep climbs with no switchbacks, runnable sections between them, and a downhill through a field to the start and finish area. The surface is an old logging road with a wide double track.

There are multiple event options:

  • Haunted Half
  • Sinister Six

Each lap includes trick-or-treat stations. One side offers treats such as candy; the other side imposes a required task for the next lap drawn from a Bag of Tricks. Participants cannot select treat on every lap; tricks must be performed when drawn. Costumes are encouraged and may be required.

The event uses a clothes-pin system to track loops. Pets are not allowed on site. If storms are forecast the event may be moved to the previous night. Registration closes on Fri, Oct 30 at 11:59 PM CT. No refunds or deferrals will be issued. Proceeds, if any, may be donated to support maintenance of the private property used for the event.
