Hell Mary 6 Hours

Hell Mary is an endurance running event held at 10010 Statesville Road in Watertown, TN. The course is a 1 mile flat loop across an open field with minimal shade and optional creek access for cooling. Elevation gain is small, reported in the low tens of feet per mile.

Each participant receives a designated 10 by 10 personal aid area. The loop itself is a no aid zone: no food, drink, ice, gear, pacing, or assistance is allowed on the loop. Receiving aid anywhere outside a designated aid area results in disqualification. Only registered entrants are permitted on the course and there are no volunteers on the loop.

Timed divisions determine placement by miles completed and include 6 hour, 12 hour day, 12 hour night which is new for 2026, and 24 hour options. The start location has moved to behind the timing station to improve lap counting. A new chip timing system is in use and all participants must wear a bib on the front of their shorts or shirt for timing and backup scans.

Two separate HardRuck divisions are offered: a rucking division and a weighted vest division. Weight standards are dry weight 20 lbs for bodyweight over 150 lbs and 10 lbs for bodyweight under 150 lbs. Belt buckles for 100 mile finishers are available for purchase as an optional item.
