President 7k Run

Green Hill, United States • 17 Oct 2026

Event Overview

The 5th Annual 7th President 7K Run takes place on the grounds of Andrew Jackson's Hermitage in Nashville. This event offers participants the opportunity to traverse a National Historic Landmark, moving through the landscapes where the seventh U.S. president lived.

The following distances are available:

  • 7 km run
  • 2 mile walk

The course is cross-country in style, consisting of grass fields, open landscapes, and short sections of trail and paved road. Participants pass several historic landmarks, including the Tulip Grove Mansion and the Hermitage Church, which dates back to 1824. The finish line is located at the Hermitage Mansion.

Participation Details

The event is not chip-timed, though a rolling time clock is provided for participants to track their progress. Prizes are awarded to the overall male and female winners of the race. Due to the unpaved surface of the course, strollers are not recommended. Dogs are prohibited on the course during the event but are permitted on leashes in the grounds area afterward.

Registrants receive specific items based on registration timing and capacity. The first 300 individuals to register receive a custom medal and a grounds pass to the property. Those who register by mid-September also receive a commemorative T-shirt. The event is held rain or shine, and all proceeds support the Andrew Jackson Foundation in preserving the site and providing educational programming.
