Big Al's 200

Big Al's 200 is a set-distance trail event held on private land in Franklin, TN at 9600 Big East Fork Rd. The event offers two set-distance races on a 2 mile loop that is mostly single track and includes ridge lines and black slate springs. The loop shares woods with the Murder Mile course but has smaller climbs and descents.

Distances offered:

  • 200 Miler - 2 mile loop; mostly single track; 120 hour limit; 55,000 ft gain.
  • 100 Miler - 2 mile loop; 48 hour limit; 27,000 ft gain.

Runners are self supported. Organizers will provide breakfast, dinner, electrolytes and some aid station items such as broth and soups, and water jugs will be available. Entrants must use GPS to log distance; organizers will provide tracking but runners must verify their distance. Runners may leave and return to the race course during the event. An early-start option exists for the 100 mile race; runners who start outside the official start time are not eligible for podium placement. Runners who drop from the 200 to the 100 are not eligible for podiums and must stop at 100 miles.

Space is limited and camp setup rentals will be offered. There are no refunds or deferrals. No pets are allowed. Finishers of the 200 receive a jacket and buckles; 100 mile finishers receive buckles. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
