Big Al’s 200 - March 31, 2026
Big Al’s 200 is a set-distance trail event at 9600 Big East Fork Rd, Franklin, TN. The event offers the following distances:
- 200 miles
- 100 miles
Registration closes on Mar 29.
Course and format
The event uses a roughly 2-mile loop, mostly single track, that passes black slate springs and ridge lines. The course shares woods with the Murder Mile but is described as having less severe climbs and descents. Entrants must use GPS to log distance; organizers will provide a form of loop tracking but runners must verify their own distance. Water jugs will be available on course.
Time limits are distance-based: 200-mile entrants have 120 hours to complete the distance. 100-mile entrants have 48 hours to finish; an optional early start extends that window to 72 hours. Runners may leave and return to the event during the permitted time.
Support, rules and awards
Runners are self-supported. Organizers will serve breakfast and dinner, electrolytes, and some aid-station items such as broth and soups. Space is limited and camp setup rentals will be offered. The event is hosted on private land at the Jones family farm and carries a strict no-pets policy. There are no refunds or deferrals. Finishers receive awards: the 200-mile finishers receive a jacket and buckles; 100-mile finishers receive buckles. Early or late starts for the 100 are not eligible for podium placement; runners who drop from the 200 to the 100 are also ineligible for podiums and must stop at 100 miles.
