Big Al’s 200
Big Al’s 200 is an ultrarunning event on private land in Franklin, TN, at 9600 Big East Fork Rd. It offers two set-distance races on a roughly 2-mile loop that runs through woods, ridge lines, and areas of black slate springs. The loop is mostly single track and includes notable elevation gain.
Distances:
- 200 miles - 2-mile loop; 120 hours allowed; 55,000 ft elevation gain.
- 100 miles - 2-mile loop; 48 hours standard; 27,000 ft elevation gain.
Runners are self-supported. Organizers will provide breakfast and dinner, electrolytes, some aid station items such as broth and soups, and water jugs around the course. Participants must use GPS to log distance; the event will also track loops but runners are expected to verify their own mileage. Runners may leave and return to the race during the allowed time window. Early-start options are offered for the 100 mile event, but early starters are not eligible for podium placement unless they start at the official start time. Runners who drop from the 200 to the 100 are not eligible for podiums and must stop at 100 miles; exceeding 100 after dropping will be recorded as a DNF.
Space is limited and camp setup rentals are available. The event is hosted on private property; entry fees are used to cover event costs and any proceeds may support property maintenance. No pets are allowed. There are no refunds or deferrals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
