The Tennessee Mile
The Tennessee Mile is a looped timed event held on private land near Franklin, Tennessee. The course is a 1.1 mile loop with about 340 feet of elevation gain. Runners will encounter two sustained climbs, runnable sections between them, and a downhill through a field to the start/finish area. The trail follows an old logging road and features a wide double track surface.
The event offers multiple timed divisions including 40 hour, 24 hour, 12 hour, 8 hour night, 6 hour, 3 hour and a Youth 5K. The Youth 5K is for children 16 and under; adults may accompany youth but may not register in that division. The race uses self tracking of loops and there is no loop time limit; entrants may complete as many loops as they choose within their division time.
Crew and aid are permitted on course and in crew areas but runners must provide their own aid setup. Water and electrolytes will be available but all personal nutrition must be supplied by each runner. Camping is allowed in the main field; tents that require stakes are not permitted in the start/finish area, while pop up canopy style tents are allowed in the crew zone. Training plans and camping gear rentals are available for purchase. There are no refunds or deferrals for this event.
