Natchez Trace Trail Run
The Natchez Trace Trail Run is a trail running event in Franklin, TN organized by HardWin Adventures. Distances offered on the course include an out and back 50 mile race and several one way distances that use bus transport for the one way segments. The event has a participant cap of 150 runners.
Course characteristics include long stretches of uninterrupted singletrack and sections of cumulative elevation and rugged terrain. The 50 mile race uses an out and back layout. The course rewards steady pacing, attention to fueling, and adherence to navigation and course markings.
Race rules require participants to remain on the designated trail at all times. Pacers and outside assistance are prohibited for all distances. Runners must carry their own hydration systems because aid stations may not provide cups. Crew access is limited to designated rest stops and roadside stopping along the Natchez Trace Parkway is not permitted.
HardRuck rucking divisions are split into two categories for 2026. The rucking division specifies backpack carried weight by bodyweight and the weighted vest division keeps load closer to the torso. Weigh ins are mandatory before the race, approved weight types are listed, weight may not be removed during the event, and random checks can occur.
