The Bell Ringer Trail Run is held at Montgomery Bell State Park in Burns, Tennessee on Saturday, December 13, 2025. The event benefits the Friends of Montgomery Bell State Park. The course uses the park trail network and contains multiple uphill and downhill sections on terrain described as moderate difficulty. The race is cupless, so participants must bring their own water bottle or hydration pack. Aid stations are placed roughly every 5-6 miles and provide water and assorted snacks. Drop bags are allowed and will be sent to Aid Station 3 (at mile 8.8, 15.1, and 29.8).

Race distances and logistics

  • 50K - about 30 miles on park trails; shirt, swag bag, lunch, extra gift.
  • 25K - explores 15 miles of park trails; shirt, swag bag, lunch.
  • 15K - runs 9 miles in the woods; shirt, swag bag, lunch.

Packet pickup is available the day before and on race day at the Montgomery Bell State Park Conference Center, 1000 Hotel Avenue, Burns, TN 37029. The 50K course includes hard cutoff points at several miles; runners arriving after those cutoffs will be asked to drop and will be transported back to the Inn. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each race, and all finishers receive medals. Refunds of 50% are offered within 60 days of registration until October 1; no refunds after that date. Bib transfers are permitted until December 11, 2025.
