The course uses mixed singletrack and park trails with multiple uphill and downhill sections and terrain described as moderate in difficulty. A mountain bike trail section is open to runners only on the day of the event; it is reserved for mountain bike use on other days. Aid stations are placed approximately every 5-6 miles and provide water and various snacks; the race is cupless, so participants must bring their own water bottle or hydration pack. Drop bags are allowed and will be sent to Aid Station 3, located near miles 8.8, 15.1, and 29.8.

Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each distance; awards are made from local park wood and engraved locally. All finishers receive medals. Packet pickup is available at the Montgomery Bell State Park Conference Center on the day before and the morning of the event. Refund and transfer policies apply; partial refunds are available under specified conditions prior to October 1, and bib transfers are permitted until December 11.
