More Miles Last One Standing Challenge - Knoxville, MD

The More Miles Last One Standing Challenge is the seventh annual backyard ultra held at 1600 Harpers Ferry Rd., Knoxville, Maryland. The event runs two live formats on the same site and uses a repeating lap format called the yard. An official backyard course measures 4.167 miles. Participants who complete the yard within each hour continue into the next hour, completing one yard every hour until only one participant finishes the yard within the hour.

The event includes:

    • 4.167 mile backyard event; qualifies as a Backyard Ultra world championship qualifier.
    • 1 mile event runs 24 hours then adds one mile per hour until one remains.

The 1 mile event is presented as a lower-intensity option for children, teens, walkers, and those new to the backyard format. Prize money is offered for both the Last One Standing champion and the Assist, with the top two challengers eligible to earn cash equal to their total official race miles. Only official race miles count toward prize money. Shirts are provided to all challengers; sizes are guaranteed for registrations completed by April 20, 2026, after which sizes are first come, first served. The organizer states that refunds are not available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
