The Maverick Oxfordshire Trail 2026
The Maverick Oxfordshire Trail takes place at Stonor Park in the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Routes start from the Manor House at Stonor Park, a site dating back around 850 years. The estate is home to a long established fallow deer herd and red kites may be seen over the trails. The course runs through woodland and estate tracks and includes steep sections with climbs and descents reaching gradients of 22 percent.
Three route options are offered:
- Half Marathon: 22 km, +511 m elevation
- Middle: 13 km, +360 m elevation
- Short: 7 km, +99 m elevation
There are no outposts on the Short route, one outpost on the Middle route and two outposts on the Half Marathon route. Outposts provide top up snacks, gels and electrolyte. There are no toilets along the running routes; toilets are available in the start and finish area only. Event facilities at the venue include free parking, bag drop, timing and online results, event photography and food and drink. The event is dog friendly but dogs must be added to entries. Participants under 16 must be accompanied by a participating adult. Organisers ask runners to aim to complete within four hours to reduce pressure on marshals. The event aims to be cup free at outposts so runners should bring a bottle or reusable cup. Headphones are discouraged. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
