Stonor, United Kingdom • 7 Nov 2026

Event Details

The Maverick Oxfordshire Trail takes place at Stonor Park in Oxfordshire. The event starts from the 850-year-old manor house on the estate. The trails weave through the estate and the surrounding Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Routes

Participants can choose from three distances:

  • Half Marathon: 22 km with +511 m of elevation gain.
  • Middle Route: 13 km with +360 m of elevation gain.
  • Short Route: 7 km with +99 m of elevation gain.

The trails feature climbs and descents reaching gradients of 22% in parts. The course is fully marked and runs through classic English woodland.

Event Information

The estate is home to ancient deer herds, and runners may spot wildlife like the red kite. Participants are asked to bring a reusable cup or bottle, as outposts have self-serve water barrels and no pre-filled cups. There is no outpost on the Short route.

The event is dog-friendly, though a specific dog entry is required. Free parking is available at the venue. Runners receive a metal finisher's medal, and event photography is provided. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
