The Mad Miller

The Mad Miller is an endurance running event scheduled for 3 May 2026 at Millers Bar, Church Lane, New Mills (SK22 4NP). The event uses a measured circuit that passes several of New Mills' landmarks.

The format is a four hour timed run on a 5.3 km loop. Participants aim to complete as many laps as they can within the permitted four hour period. At the finish there is a gong and a drink for finishers.

A trail 5k around Clowbridge Reservoir run over two laps and open to ages 11 and over. It is one race in a three-race spring series in April, with an entry fee of £6.50 and proceeds donated to local causes.

Trail event on the Calderdale Way with 50 mile and 30 mile options through moorland, villages and mill towns. Vegan friendly aid stations, GPS tracking and mandatory kit are included.

A self guided six mile trail loop around Linacre Reservoirs in Derbyshire, starting and finishing at Wadshelf Village Hall. The runnable route features bluebell woods, waterside trails and one steep climb near the end.

Trail fundraiser from Newfield School through bluebell woodlands, offering 5k and 10k routes with age rules and junior prize categories. The event supports three PTAs, relies on volunteers, and includes on-site refreshments.
