Clowbridge 5k - Spring 2/3

The Clowbridge 5k is a trail race run on a popular route off the Pennine Bridleway. The course consists of two laps of the trail path around Clowbridge Reservoir, run anti-clockwise from Rossendale Valley Sailing Club, Manchester Road, Burnley, BB11 5PF. The route is described as fast and flat with 25 m of elevation over 5 km.

The event is open to entrants aged 11 and over and forms the middle race of a three race Spring Series held on Thursdays: 16th, 23rd and 30th April 2026. Prizes are awarded in each race and the course is well marshalled.

Parking is available locally with a lower car park at the Sailing Club and parking on Limey Lane at the far end of the reservoir. The published entry fee is £6.50 and entries run from 1 January 2026 until 22 April 2026. Monies from the series will be donated to local causes.
