Clowbridge 5k Series

The Clowbridge 5k is a trail running event held on a popular route off the Pennine Bridleway. This specific run is the second installment of a three-part Spring Series, with additional races occurring on consecutive Thursdays in April. The event is open to participants aged 11 and over and follows a course described as fast and flat.

The route consists of 5 km with a total elevation gain of 25 meters. Participants complete two anti-clockwise laps of the trail path around the Clowbridge Reservoir. The course begins and ends at the Rossendale Valley Sailing Club on Manchester Road in Burnley. The path is well-marshalled to assist runners throughout the distance.

The event is organized by Run JMC and serves as a potential selection for club championships. Parking is available at the Sailing Club lower car park and on Limey Lane at the far end of the reservoir. Revenue generated from the series is donated to local causes.
