The Bluebell Bimble

The Bluebell Bimble is a 6 mile trail race located in the Derbyshire countryside between Chesterfield and the Peak District. The course consists of a self-guided loop that takes participants through the Linacre Reservoirs area and surrounding bluebell woods. The terrain features waterside trails, forest paths, and long descents, concluding with a steep climb near the end of the route.

This event is a self-guided competition. Participants are provided with written instructions to navigate the course on the day. There are no marshals stationed along the route, and GPX files are not utilized. Timing is recorded at the start and finish locations. The race operates under UK Athletics rules.

The start and finish area is located at Wadshelf Village Hall. Participants are required to carry specific safety equipment due to unpredictable weather conditions, including a waterproof jacket, warm layers, and a working mobile phone. No dogs are permitted on the course.
