Longshaw, United Kingdom • 22 Apr 2026

Event Details

The Tiger's Trail Race is organized by Totley AC. The course is approximately 6.2 miles (10 km) with an ascent of roughly 850 feet (259 m). The start and finish point is at the start of Houndkirk Road, above the Fox House pub on Hathersage Road in Sheffield.

Facilities and Entry

Facilities at the Fox House pub include toilets, a bar, and parking, though car sharing is encouraged. The entry fee is £7 for pre-entry and £7 for entry on the night, if the event is not full. Race numbers are collected upon arrival, no earlier than 18:00.

Kit Requirements

All runners are required to bring FRA Best Practice kit with them. The specific kit runners must carry is at the discretion of the Race Organiser, based on weather conditions on the day. This kit includes waterproof whole body cover (with taped seams and attached hood), hat, gloves, map, compass, whistle, and emergency food. Mandatory kit inspections will be performed, and runners without the required kit will not be allowed to start. A further check may be undertaken upon completion.

Race Information

The route is marshaled at major turning points. Runners are not required to record their arrival at checkpoints, but must run past the marshals with their race number clearly visible. Dogs are not permitted on the course.

A prize-giving ceremony will be held inside a marquee in the pub car park. Prizes are awarded for the top 3 male and female finishers, the first Totley AC runner, and winners in several age categories: 18-23, Senior, V40, V50, V60, and V70. There will also be spot prizes.

Directions and Parking

Limited parking is available at the pub car park. Runners are advised to also use Longshaw car park, to allow sufficient time, park responsibly, and avoid inconveniencing local residents. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
