The Lighthouse Marathon and Ultra takes place on Saturday 7 November 2026, based at Sunset Surf Cafe, Gwithian TR27 5ED. The marathon route runs from Pendeen past the lighthouse along the coastpath to Godrevy lighthouse, a distance of 26 miles. The Ultra starts at Land's End, Longships Lighthouse, runs 10 miles to join at Pendeen, then continues 25 miles to the same finish. The course includes rock, sand and tarmac underfoot, coastal paths, dunes and large climbs. Organisers state the marathon has over 4000 ft of ascent, with the Ultra carrying an additional 1800 ft of ascent. Mud, water and likely rain are noted as possible conditions.

Entries open 1 April 2026. Entry categories and fees listed by the organiser include: affiliated and non-affiliated marathon entries and affiliated and non-affiliated Ultra entries. Fees shown are: marathon affiliated £50, marathon non-affiliated £52; Ultra affiliated £65, Ultra non-affiliated £67 (all plus a service fee). Refunds are available up to four weeks before the event; deferrals are allowed up to two weeks before the event but deferrals cannot be refunded at the subsequent race. If an Amber or Red weather warning is issued by the Met Office the event cannot go ahead; organisers may reschedule or hold the event virtually. An ARC permit is noted.
