The Last One Standing - York

The event is a last-person-standing endurance running format held at 2950 Lewisberry Rd, York, PA over the weekend. Runners complete repeated laps of a designated loop; at the start of each hour remaining runners must begin and then finish the required laps for that round. Failure to complete a round within the hour results in elimination. During later stages, after a 24 hour 100 mile marker, a Fast One Standing format begins in which the slowest runner each hour is eliminated until a single winner remains.

Rules restrict leaving the course except for restroom breaks, and runners may not receive outside aid once a loop has begun. Nighttime running requires a headlamp or flashlight. Water is provided at coolers near the runner area each hour, but participants must bring their own food and fuel. No electrical hookups are provided; entrants may bring generators or a vehicle with power outlets.

Each race entry includes a designated 10 by 30 foot parking and crew area assigned on arrival and two nontransferable crew wristbands issued at check in. Registered participants receive an event T shirt and a certified Endurance Artifact card recording final distance. Prize awards for top finishers are stated as cash and sponsor shoe prizes.
