Green Lantern
The Green Lantern is a circular mixed terrain event that follows the Green Circle around Exeter. The main route is approximately 14.2 miles and passes through wooded valleys, meadows, bicycle lanes and along the banks of the River Exe.
This year runners may choose to run the course in either direction but must select the direction on entry. At Mill On The Exe the route splits and participants follow the chosen direction from that point.
An alternative route called the Yellow Zone runs to Marsh Barton station bridge and is about 9 miles. Both the 14.2 miles route and the Yellow Zone start together.
The course surface is a mix of trails, meadows, playing fields and flatlands. It runs along the Exe and through Ludwell Valley, Hoopern Valley, Redhills and Mincing Lake Country Park. Total elevation on the main route is 313 meters.
Facilities include toilets at the start and finish at Quay Climbing Centre, Haven Banks, Exeter, and additional toilets on Topsham Road and near Exwick cemetery. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
