Green Lantern - Exeter

The Green Lantern is a circular mixed terrain event following the Green Circle clockwise around Exeter. The main route is about 14.2 miles and runs through wooded valleys, meadows, bicycle lanes and along the banks of the River Exe. The course passes Ludwell Valley, Hoopern Valley, Redhills and Mincing Lake Country Park. The total elevation gain on the route is 313 meters.

A shorter option called the Yellow Zone follows part of the Green Circle, with a route of about 9 miles that is described from Marsh Barton station bridge. Both distances start together from the same location at Quay Climbing Centre, Haven Banks, Exeter.

Facilities noted for the event include toilets at the start and finish location and additional toilet points on Topsham Road and near Exwick cemetery. Trail runs nearby

A guided countryside run from Bovey Tracey to Lustleigh and back, about 10.5 miles with roughly 2000 ft of ascent. The route follows paths and lanes via Shaptor Down and Gladstone Rock; trail shoes and a waterproof are recommended.

Experience the rugged beauty of the South West Coast Path in South Devon with three distance options. Runners follow a hilly multi-terrain course from Kingswear or Babbacombe to a scenic finish at Shaldon.

A multi terrain seven mile race at Kilmington Cricket Ground on 25 April 2026, with a 4 km option and a 1 km fun run for children. The undulating route passes roads, woodland and fields and offers on-site refreshments and a water station.

An LDWA members only event of three roughly 10 mile loops from Leusdon Memorial Hall, offering 10, 20 or 31 mile options across moor, woods and tors. Numbers are limited and a waiting list may operate.
