The Greedy Run - Event details
The Greedy Run takes place on Saturday 17 January 2026 as part of the 7 Deadly Sins race series. Entrants may choose from the following distances:
- 5k
- 10k
- Half Marathon
- Marathon
- Ultra
There is a 7 hour time limit to complete the chosen distance. Each lap on the course is 2.5 km, so the 5k option is two laps. The event is open to walkers and runners; under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
Course, entries and services
The route is offroad and contained within the grounds of Pengethley Manor, Ross-on-Wye (what3words: physical.growth.shelf). The course includes a hill on each lap and a series of up-and-down sections through two vineyards. On race day organisers provide free parking, tea and coffee, sandwiches and soup, and toilets.
Entry options include standard race entry and a virtual option. Virtual entrants can run any day during January and must complete at least 5k; virtual entrants receive a personalised virtual bib and a medal once the run is verified. Entry fees listed are: race £29.00, virtual UK £25.00, virtual overseas £39.00. A charity entry option is available for a reduced fee of £10.00 subject to fundraising conditions.
