The Greedy Run

The Greedy Run is part of the 7 Deadly Sins series and takes place on 16 January 2027 at Pengethley Manor, Ross-on-Wye (What3words - physical.growth.shelf). Entrants choose a target distance and must complete that distance within a seven hour time limit.

Distances offered:

  • 5k (two laps of the course)
  • 10k
  • Half Marathon
  • Marathon
  • Ultra

Each lap measures 2.5k and the route is off road, contained within the grounds of Pengethley Manor. The course includes a hill on each lap and a series of ups and downs through two vineyards. The event is described as suitable for walkers and runners. The majority of routes are not signed; marshals are placed in appropriate locations and participants are responsible for remaining on course.

Facilities listed for race day include free parking, refreshments including tea and coffee, sandwiches and soup, and toilets. Race and virtual medals are the same type; each day of the series carries a unique medal themed around the Seven Deadly Sins. Paid race finishers receive a medal on crossing the finish line. Virtual entries can be completed any day in January with a minimum distance of 5k; virtual runs must be verified for medal dispatch via device proof or by joining the organiser's Strava group. Entry fees are published and non refundable. Entrants must be aged 18 or over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
