The Greedy Run takes place on Saturday 17 January 2026 at Pengethley Manor, Ross-on-Wye (what3words: physical.growth.shelf). Entrants choose one of these distances:

  • 5k (2 laps)
  • 10k
  • Half Marathon
  • Marathon
  • Ultra

Each lap is 2.5 km. Participants have a 7-hour time limit to complete their chosen distance. The course is offroad, contained within the grounds of Pengethley Manor, and includes a hill plus a series of up and downs that pass through two vineyards. The event is open to walkers and runners; under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Entries, virtual option and facilities

Race entry is priced at £29.00. Virtual entry options are available: UK virtual £25.00 and overseas virtual £39.00. Entry fees are non-refundable. Race bibs are issued at on-site registration. Race and virtual medals are the same type; race medals are awarded at the finish, and virtual medals are posted after run verification. Virtual runs can be completed any day in January, with a minimum distance of 5k. Proof methods for virtual runs include a photo of a GPS device, joining the event Strava group, or uploading to the event Facebook page.
