The Goodwin Trail Challenge
East Lyme, United States • 10 Nov 2024
The Goodwin Trail Challenge is a running and hiking event that takes place on a ~13.5 mile linear trail passing through preserved lands in East Lyme, East Haddam, and Lyme. Participants park at Darrow Pond Park and are shuttled to the trailhead to run or hike back to their cars. In 2024, hikers can choose between a ~13.5 mile or ~9 mile hike, with an option for runners to participate in a hand-timed race with prizes. Rest stops with snacks and water are available along the trail. The event aims to raise funds for the East Haddam Land Trust to preserve land in perpetuity.
