The Gluttonous Run - Ultra Running

The Gluttonous Run is part of the 7 Deadly Sins race series and takes place on Friday 15th January 2027 at Pengethley Manor, Ross-on-Wye (what3words: physical.growth.shelf). Entrants have a seven hour limit to complete their chosen target distance. Each lap is 2.5 km and the course is offroad within the manor grounds, including a hill and a series of ups and downs through two vineyards. The organiser describes the course as very tough. The event is open to walkers and runners; entrants must meet the organiser's entry requirements and agree to the event terms and conditions.

Options include an in-person race day and a virtual entry. Virtual runs may be completed any day in January with a minimum distance of 5k; virtual entrants receive a personalised virtual bib and, after verification of the run, a medal posted to them (additional postage applies for overseas). Race medals and virtual medals are the same type; paid in-person finishers receive medals at the finish.

Practical notes: free parking, free tea & coffee, sandwiches & soup, and toilets are available on site. Entry fees are non-refundable. A 10 hour loop race on Mynydd Troed with steep climbs, technical descents and marked clip stations. Open to solo runners, pairs and teams of four, with mandatory kit and a strict 10 hour cutoff.

A Welsh trail event offering a 100-mile loop from Abergavenny and a 100 km route from Talgarth to Abergavenny, both following Offa’s Dyke, Cambrian Way and Beacons Way across mountain terrain.

A 10 km trail run at Symonds Yat in the Forest of Dean with undulating terrain and views of the River Wye. The final 1 km includes a large climb to the finish. Coffee and hot food are available at the start and finish.
