The Firefly Trail Run

Hendersonville, United States • 25 Apr 2026

Event details

The Firefly Trail Run takes place Saturday, Apr 25, 2026 at 315 Shoals Falls Rd in Hendersonville, NC. The event offers three options: a timed 12-hour race, a timed 6-hour race, and a 5K that covers one loop of the course. The race and venue are on private property reserved for race weekend. Camping and onsite lodging are available through Wag Valley Farm. Packet pick-up is available on Friday and on Saturday; camping check-in is available Friday and departures are on Sunday.

Course and race format

The course is a roughly 3-mile singletrack loop with about 400+ feet of elevation gain per loop. Each lap passes a waterfall, mountain creeks, and goes through a vintage event barn. The 6-hour and 12-hour options use a timed format with no fixed distance; participants complete as many loops as they choose during the allotted time. The loop design provides frequent aid station access and multiple opportunities to pass other runners.

Runners amenities listed for the event include soft long sleeve shirts (size guaranteed if registered by 4/1), a custom wooden finisher medal, stocked aid stations with hands-on support, a well marked course, professional timing, onsite parking, awards, and post-race food and drinks. Awards are given to the top three in several categories including overall and age groups. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
