The Firefly Trail Run
The Firefly Trail Run is a timed trail event held at Wag Valley Farm in Hendersonville, NC on April 17, 2027. The course is a roughly 3.2 mile single-track loop on private property reserved for the race weekend, featuring a waterfall, mountain creeks, and a run through a vintage event barn. Each loop includes about 400 feet of elevation gain, reported as approximately 413 feet.
Runners choose a timed format that records distance covered in set durations or run a single 5K loop. The looped course passes an aid station in the barn each lap, which reduces the need to carry large amounts of gear or hydration. A finisher gift is awarded to participants who start and complete at least one loop. The event is capped at 140 total participants.
Facilities and race services include stocked aid station with hands-on support, professional timing, well-marked course, onsite parking, camping and lodging options at Wag Valley Farm, soft long sleeve shirts (register by April 1 to secure size), and custom wooden finishers medals. Post-race food and drinks are provided and the venue will sell beer. Meatball subs with a vegan option will be available for 6 hour and 12 hour participants.
