The Firefly Trail Run
The Firefly Trail Run is a timed trail event at Wag Valley Farm in Hendersonville, NC on April 17, 2027. The course uses a continuous loop of roughly 3.2 miles with about 413 feet of elevation gain per lap. The single-track loop passes a waterfall, mountain creeks and routes each lap through a vintage event barn.
Race formats include a single-loop 5K and timed 6-hour and 12-hour options. The loop layout places a main aid station inside the barn so runners pass a stocked, hands-on aid station every lap. The layout also reduces the need to carry large amounts of gear or hydration. The 5K is one loop.

Event amenities include professional timing, well marked course, soft long-sleeve shirts for registered runners (sizes subject to registration timing), a custom wooden finishers medal for participants who start and complete at least one loop, post-race food and drinks, and a free speed cup from HydraPak. Meatball subs with a vegan option are provided for 6-hour and 12-hour runners. Onsite parking is free grass parking. Camping and onsite lodging are available through Wag Valley Farm. The event is capped at 135 total participants.
The event runs rain or shine; in the case of lightning the event will be delayed until 30 minutes pass with no lightning. Refund and transfer policies vary by timing before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
