Event overview

The Chevin Chase is a hilly, multi-terrain road and trail race that starts and finishes in Guiseley. The course follows a scenic circuit of Otley Chevin measuring 7 miles and is held on Boxing Day, 26th December 2025. The event is in its 46th year and is organised as an affiliated race with chip timing. Finishers receive a choice of a technical shirt or the planting of a tree. Race proceeds support mainly local charities, community organisations and good causes.

Entry and race rules

Entries are limited to 2,000 places and the field will start in four waves. Online entries open on 21st September 2025 and entries close on 23rd November 2025. The published entry fee is £25. The organisers do not offer refunds, deferrals or a managed waiting list. An entry may be transferred to another runner using the edit details service before 23rd November 2025. In the event of a short-notice cancellation, entrants will be transferred to a rescheduled date where possible.

Participants are required to accept and be bound by the UKA Anti-Doping Rules. For athletes under 18, a parent or guardian must complete the required form.
