About the race

The 7-11 Slurpee Day Ultra 60k is a unique, self-supported ultramarathon held in Vernon, Connecticut, covering approximately 37.5 miles along mostly road routes. Participants run between seven 7-11 convenience stores across towns including Vernon, Manchester, East Hartford, West Hartford, Newington, New Britain, and finish in Meriden. The course features a significant net downhill and encourages runners to stay together for camaraderie and fun, with stops to purchase Slurpees and snacks.

The event embraces a casual, non-competitive atmosphere with self-reported times and a soft eight-hour cutoff. Entry includes a chartered bus from Meriden back to Vernon, making it a quirky celebration of endurance and community. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
