Thames Meander Spring
The Thames Meander Spring is a riverside race series based in London, starting within the Small Profit Dock Gardens in Barnes. The event offers three different distances on a flat and fast course consisting of out and back routes along the Thames Path trail. The terrain is a trail setting and remains open to members of the public, including cyclists, during the event.
The available distances for this event include:
- 10km: A single lap out and back route turning at the Kew Gardens Car Park.
- Half Marathon: A single 13.1 mile out and back loop turning at Petersham and Ham Sea scouts.
- Marathon: Two 13.1 mile out and back loops following the same path as the half marathon.
The course is well marked and marshalled throughout. There are three primary check points located at the Small Profit Dock Gardens, Kew Gardens Car Park, and the Petersham & Ham Sea Scouts. These stations are stocked with a variety of high-energy foods, gels, drinks, and electrolyte powders to assist with hydration and refueling needs.
Medical support is provided by the KLP Medical Support Team at each of the check point locations. The race headquarters is situated at the Barnes Sports Club, which is adjacent to the start and finish area at Small Profit Dock Gardens.
