The North Downs Ridge is a 50k trail ultra organised by Freedom Racing on Sunday 22 February 2026. The route is a long-distance trail on the North Downs Way and through the Surrey Wildlife Trust reserve at Norbury Park, starting and finishing at Denbies Wine Estate near Dorking. The total ascent for the route is 2986 ft. The event is listed as a UTMB runner performance index qualifier.

Route, support and logistics

The course runs west along the North Downs Way to the edge of Guildford, includes Newlands Corner, Albury Downs and St Martha's Church, then retraces back toward Denbies and includes a loop through Norbury Park woodland before the finish. The route is fully signed and features four checkpoints with food and drinks located at approximately 8, 13, 18 and 24 miles. Event medical cover and a sweeper runner are provided. There is a 10-hour cut-off for completion.

Participation requires an online entry and a mandatory kit list. Entries close 20 February 2026 and the published entry fee is £70. Minimum age for participation is 18 years. Parking is normally at Dorking Railway Station car park (about a 10-minute walk to Denbies); on-the-day parking at Denbies may be used if conditions allow. Dogs are not permitted on the race.
