Freedom Racing - North Downs Ridge 50k
The North Downs Ridge 50k is a fully signed trail ultra held on 21 February 2027. The route follows sections of the North Downs Way and passes through the Surrey Wildlife Trust reserve of ancient woodland at Norbury Park.
The course covers a 50k distance with a total ascent of 2986 ft and is described as fairly level across the whole race. Extra race signage is provided in addition to standard trail waymarks.
Support on course includes four checkpoints offering food and drinks. The event is based at Denbies Wine Estate near Dorking. All finishers receive a medal featuring the event logo.
Entry requirements and administrative details include an entry fee of £75 and a minimum age of 16 on the event date. Entries open on 21 April 2026 and close on 19 February 2027. The event is organized by Freedom Racing and is presented as appropriate for runners moving into ultramarathon distances given the combination of distance and elevation.
