The North Downs Ridge 50k is a trail ultramarathon organised by Freedom Racing on Sunday 22 February 2026. The race distance is 50k with a total ascent of 2,986 ft. The route is fully signed and the event qualifies towards a runner performance index for UTMB. The organisers state a 10 hour completion cutoff and a minimum age of 18 years. Course and logistics
The start and finish are at Denbies Wine Estate near Dorking. The route runs west along the North Downs Way to the edge of Guildford, passing Newlands Corner, Albury Downs and St Martha's Church, then retraces back toward Denbies and includes a loop through the Surrey Wildlife Trust reserve at Norbury Park. There are four checkpoints with food and drink provided at approximately 8, 13, 18 and 24 miles. Parking is normally in Dorking railway station car park, a 10 minute walk from the race base; parking at Denbies may be used if conditions allow.
