Event overview

The Winter Trail Run is the fifth edition of a trail race held at Gatton Park (RH2 0TW). The course is a multi-terrain loop of the park. Participants can choose to run either one loop or two loops, which correspond to the following distances:

  • 5K multi-terrain loop of Gatton Park
  • 10K two loops of the 5K course

There is a dedicated Canicross event alongside the trail races. The organiser aims to keep the event schedule compact to limit time spent waiting outdoors. A finish medal is provided.

Practical information

Facilities and services listed for the event include bag drop, refreshments, pre-bookable parking, and race number collection on the day. A total of 175 pre-bookable parking spaces are available; no parking will be available on site without a pre-booking. A drop-off zone is provided and Gatton Park is walkable from Redhill and Reigate.

Entry fees include a charitable donation. For each entry, £2 will be donated to The Gatton Trust Charity, and all on-site parking fees will also be donated. KNC 6 at Rusthall Common is a Kent Night Cup score event combining forest, urban and rock features in a 60 minute night challenge. Limited to 40 places and online registration only, so book early for an atmospheric evening orienteering.

Join SE Champs Weekend on 15 and 16 November for night and middle orienteering in a largely new area beside Britty Wood, open to all abilities. Expect tough championship courses, friendly atmosphere and on site toilets and refreshments.

Explore runnable forest at Shoreham Woods with courses for all abilities and a one hour score challenge. Online entry only; trails are shared with walkers, riders and bikers and have some steep slippery slopes.

Join the Smurf Run, a friendly 7 hour challenge along the Thames at Wraysbury. Finish 3 km to earn a Smurf themed medal and keep going to collect distance pins for half marathon, marathon and ultra achievements.
