Teton Mountaineering Cache Creek Trail Run
The event is the 46th annual Teton Mountaineering Cache Creek to Game Creek Trail Run, a point to point event in the Bridger-Teton National Forest that covers approximately 18K (about 11 miles). Multiple participation options are offered, including:
- 18K trail run
- 18K trail hike
- Virtual run with mailed shirt, bib, and medal
The course starts below Snow King Resort’s upper parking lot in Jackson, WY, follows Cache Creek, climbs to Game Creek Divide (elevation 7,400 ft), and descends to Game Creek. Total elevation change is roughly 1,400 feet. The route is marked with orange cones and orange tape on trees.
Logistics reflect the backcountry character of the course. The race is chip timed. Two water stations are provided, but participants are advised to carry their own water. A porta pottie is available at the start and another at the finish. Clothing bags can be dropped at the start and transported to the finish by the timing vehicle if clearly marked with name and bib.
This is a point to point course with limited parking at the finish; a timing truck or shuttle vehicle may run return trips with limited space. Packet pick-up is available the day before at the Teton Mountaineering store and on race morning at the start. Awards include top three overall trophies, age division awards in ten year spans, finisher medals, event shirts, and a finisher visor. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
