John Wayne Grit Series : Jackson Hole (August 22, 2026)
This trail event takes place at Turpin Meadow Ranch in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, at the gateway to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. The course follows rugged dirt roads and single track trails through forested terrain in the Bridger-Teton National Forest, with views of the Grand Tetons and the Buffalo Fork River. The run benefits the John Wayne Cancer Foundation; fundraising has a stated goal of $80,000 and is listed at 64 percent.

- Half marathon on mixed terrain.
- 8K trail option.
Participants receive a John Wayne Grit Series shirt and a finisher mug at the finish. All cancer survivors who register are eligible for a complimentary yellow bandana at packet pickup while supplies last. The event is cupless; aid stations will not provide cups. Runners are asked to bring a hydration pack or handheld bottles with large openings so volunteers can refill them. Complimentary filled water bottles will be available for finishers.
Packet pickup and parking are located at Red Cliffs Lodge; there is no parking at the start/finish area and shuttle service will transport participants to the start line, which is about 3 miles away. The weekend includes lodge events such as a community evening with music and food trucks and a post-run Grit Down with food and beverage offerings.
