Tapyard Ultra 50km
The Tapyard Ultra is a point to point ultramarathon covering 50 km between Ramsbury Brewery and Renegade Brewery. For 2026 the route starts at Ramsbury and finishes at Renegade; the running direction changes each year. The course is fully signed and uses woodland trails, footpaths, canal towpaths and country lanes. The route is approximately 75% off road and has about 340 m of elevation gain.
Four checkpoints sit at roughly 10 km intervals and aid stations provide water, cola, energy drink options and sweet and savoury snacks. Personal nutrition drops are available and can be delivered to the 3rd and 4th checkpoints. The event includes a medal, race mementoes, a free drink at the bar, free race photos, prizes, toilets, feed stations, chip timing, live tracking and medical backup. A post event massage is offered.
A pre-event shuttle bus option is available so participants can park at the finish and be transported to the start. A GPX file will be published one week before the race. The published cut off time is nine hours. Mandatory kit comprises a fully charged phone, a foil blanket and a full 500 ml bottle or vessel for fluids. Recommended items include a waterproof or showerproof jacket, a cup, a method of payment and the provided Google course map.
