Tapyard Ultra 50km

The Tapyard Ultra is a multi terrain point to point ultramarathon of 50 km held on Saturday September 5, 2026. For 2026 the route starts at Ramsbury Brewery and finishes at Renegade Brewery; the running direction alternates each year. The course covers about 340 m of elevation and is roughly 75% off road.

The route uses woodland trails, paths, canal towpaths and country lanes. The course is fully signed and chip timed, with live tracking and medical backup. A GPX file will be provided one week before the race. There are four checkpoints at approximately 10 km intervals. Checkpoints supply cola, water, energy drinks and sweet and savoury snacks. Personal nutrition can be left for collection and delivered to the third and fourth checkpoints.

A pre event shuttle bus is offered so participants can park at the finish and travel to the start. Mandatory kit includes a fully charged phone, a foil blanket and a full 500 ml bottle or vessel for fluids. Recommended kit includes a waterproof or showerproof jacket, a cup, a method of payment and the online course map.

What is included with entry: a medal, mementoes, a free drink at the bar, free race photos, prizes, toilets, feed stations, personal nutrition drop, a fully signed course, chip timing, live tracking and medical support. Early bird entries run until May 1 with fees shown as £63 to £65; entries close on September 1 unless capacity is reached earlier. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
