Sweat For Vets Challenge

The Sweat For Vets Challenge is a trail event held at the Brush Mountain Sportsmen’s Association in Pinecroft, Altoona, Pennsylvania. The program includes a 10K trail race, a 5K trail race, and a 5K trail walk, with all events starting and finishing at the Brush Mountain Sportsmen’s Association.

The organizer describes the 10K as a course that scales the Allegheny Mountains. The 5K is offered as both a run and a walk; participants are reminded that the course is not open to the public except on the day of the event.

A separate Young Recruits Race is provided for ages 5 to 12 only. That youth event is a half mile race and registration for the Young Recruits Race includes a t-shirt. Registration fees listed for the main events are $35 for the 5K and 10K and $25 for the Young Recruits Race.

Awards will be presented after the events and a post race gathering is planned. The event description notes support for local Veterans as the event focus. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
