Swammie Shuffle 200
Virginia Beach, United States • 22 Feb 2026
Event overview
The Swammie Shuffle 200 is a fundraising ultramarathon in Virginia Beach, VA, held in February 2026. The event covers more than 200 miles along the Atlantic coast and the Outer Banks. It raises money for charities that address veteran suicide and related issues; 100% of funds raised will be split between Awareness N Action and Mission22.
Course and logistics
The course starts at Sandbridge Beach, runs south more than 100 miles through the Outer Banks to the Cape Hatteras lighthouse, and then returns to the start. The first and last roughly 20 miles follow beach terrain between Sandbridge Beach and Corolla. Between towns runners use sidewalks and road shoulders. There are three lighthouses on course: Corolla, Bodie Island, and Cape Hatteras; Cape Hatteras is the turnaround point. Wild horses of Corolla may be visible along parts of the route. Runners are given five and a half days to complete the course. The race does not provide aid; support is the responsibility of each participant. Participants may not ride in a vehicle during the race; vehicles may not be used to mark the course. Volunteers can pick up runners who cannot continue. There are 22 open in-person spots; additional participants may be selected from a waitlist. Registration closes on February 21, 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
