Long Creek 60k

The Long Creek 60k is a trail running event in Virginia Beach that offers two distances:

  • 60K
  • 30K

Both courses run inside First Landing State Park and pass through maritime forest, cypress swamp, salt marsh, and bay shoreline. In some sections the trail runs along the beach of Broad Bay. The course begins and finishes at the boat ramp side of the Narrows Trail and follows all nine park trails: Long Creek, White Hill Lake, Cape Henry, Kingfisher, Osmanthus, Bald Cypress, High Dune, Fox Run, and Osprey. The 60K is two loops of the course and the 30K is one loop. There is a 10 hour time limit for both events. All finishers who complete their distance within the time limit will receive a custom finisher award.

There are three aid stations located at Long Creek/64th, Cape Henry/Kingfisher, and Cape Henry near the trail center. Aid stations will offer Tailwind, water, soda, gels, pickle juice, and various foods. The race is cupless; cups are not provided at aid stations. Each entrant will receive a 200 ml collapsible SpeedCup at packet pickup.

Packet pickup is available at Running Etc., 1940 Laskin Rd. #302, Virginia Beach, VA 23454 on the day before the event. Race day packet pickup is at First Landing State Park near the 64th Street boat ramp. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
