Survivorfest Running Event

Survivorfest takes place in Sherwood Park, Alberta, from June 12 to 14, 2026. It is an annual event held every second weekend in June and features timed running races and children’s races.

Course options and features Since 2024 both course options have IAU Bronze Label certification. Loop A is a 400 m track loop capped at 70 athletes. Loop B is a 1.69 km road and track mix. The course is described as flat with low elevation. Direction changes are scheduled every 3 to 4 hours depending on race duration. A fully stocked aid station operates for the full 24 hours with hot and cold food and beverages. The event includes extensive music coverage and a live YouTube stream.

Inclusion, competition, and community impact The event is Trail Sisters Approved and offers three gender categories, accepting each athlete’s declared gender without documentary requirements and supporting non binary registration. The event donates all profits to the local Saffron Centre to fund school programs that prevent sexual violence. Since 2019 over $37,000 has been donated.
