Surf Coast Century 2026

Surf Coast Century takes place in Anglesea on the Great Ocean Road on Saturday 12 September 2026. The event offers multiple race formats on coastal and hinterland trails that include sea cliffs, beaches, wildflower heathland and waterfalls.

Race formats include:

  • 100 km solo
  • 50 km solo
  • Relay teams of 2, 3 or 4
  • 2.5 km Kids' Run (up to 12 years)

The 100 km course records about 1,800 m of climbing and runs across a mix of clifftop single track, beaches and hinterland. There are seven fully stocked checkpoints where support crews can meet runners, and free guided training runs are offered over the course before race day. The event provides training programs and coaching advice, and first-time ultra runners are identified on race number plates.

On race day a finish line expo and recovery marquee are in place, with finisher medals for all solo and relay finishers. Solo 100 km finishers who meet finish time benchmarks are eligible for engraved beer steins, and cash prizes are available for course record performances in several categories. Celebration Sunday features presentations and additional community activities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
