Surf Coast Century - The Feel Good Ultra

The Surf Coast Century is a trail running event in Anglesea on the Great Ocean Road, scheduled for Saturday 12 September 2026. It offers multiple formats over coastal and hinterland terrain on a course noted for cliffs, beaches, wildflower heathland and waterfalls.

Distances and formats

  • 100km solo with 1,800 m of climbing across coastal and hinterland trails
  • 50km solo covering legs 3 and 4 of the 100km course
  • 100km relay teams of 2, 3 or 4
  • 2.5km kids run for participants up to 12 years

The course runs along clifftop single track, wild beaches and hinterland single track, with views of Bells Beach and other coastal landmarks. The 100km route accumulates about 1,800 m of climbing and includes multiple terrain types that are described as runnable for a range of athletes.

Event services include seven fully stocked checkpoints with options for special diets, places for support crews to meet competitors, a finish line expo, a recovery marquee and finisher medals for all solo and relay finishers. Solo 100km finishers meeting time benchmarks may receive engraved beer steins, and cash prizes are offered for new course records. The event provides free guided training runs over the course, training programs and coaching advice, and a Celebration Sunday with presentations and recovery activities. A 10 km handicap race at Geelong Grammar School in Corio on July 19, 2026, with start and finish outside the school and a course map provided. Sponsored by The Manx Myotherapist.

A 7 km handicap race at Drysdale Recreation Reserve with start and finish at the reserve's lower area on Wyndham Street, organised by the Geelong Cross Country Club and sponsored by Corrective Chiropractic Bellarine.

A handicap club race over 8 km at Fyansford on 2 August 2026 with start and finish next to the Fyansford Hotel. Entry fee details are available on the organiser's entry fees page.

A sealed handicap mass start at Barwon Valley Park on August 9, 2026, featuring a 15 km course and an alternative 5 km race, with start and finish at Barwon Valley Fun Park on an out-and-back route to Queens Park Rd Bridge.
