Surf Coast Century - Anglesea, 12 September 2026

The Surf Coast Century is an ultramarathon event held on the Great Ocean Road at Anglesea. It offers multiple race formats over coastal and hinterland trails, including a short run for children.

The courses run along clifftop trails, single track through wildflower heathland, wild beaches and areas with waterfalls. The 100 km course includes about 1,800 m of climbing. There are seven fully stocked checkpoints with sweet, savoury, hot and cold options, including gluten-free and vegan choices. Support crews can meet competitors at every checkpoint.

Race-day services include finisher medals for all solo and relay finishers, a recovery marquee and a buzzing finish-line expo. Solo 100 km finishers may earn engraved beer steins subject to finish-time benchmarks, and $1,000 cash prizes are available for breaking specified course records. Free guided training runs over the course are offered in the lead-up to the event. The day after the race features presentations, the Boat Ramp Battle and recovery activities.

The event runs formats for solo runners and relay teams and records community-focused elements such as volunteer support and a celebratory finish-line atmosphere. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
