Afterglow Night Trail Runs

Afterglow Night Trail Runs are evening trail running events held on Wadawurrung Country along the Surf Coast. The event is organised by Tour de Trails and takes place on Saturday 5 December 2026. Organisers acknowledge the Wadawurrung as Traditional Custodians and pay respects to their Elders past, present and emerging, extending this to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People.

The event includes illuminated trail experiences with both night glow and a day glow option. Distances offered are:

  • 21 km Full Glow
  • 13 km Semi Glow
  • 5 km Mini Glow experience
  • 5 km Day Glow

Participants are encouraged to fundraise for the Sexual Assault and Family Violence Centre in Geelong through personal fundraising pages. Funds raised support direct frontline intervention services and preventative programs for women experiencing gender based violence across Western Victoria. The event aligns fundraising activity with Respect Victoria’s 16 Days of Activism against gender based violence.

Course details, maps and the event program are provided by the organiser. Volunteers are sought to support the event. The setting is the Surf Coast trails, described by the organiser as singletrack terrain popular with trail runners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
