Wonderfalls Trail Run

The Trailsplus Wonderfalls Trail Run takes place on Saturday 15 August 2026 at Cumberland River Holiday Park, Cumberland River VIC, on the Great Ocean Road near Lorne. The event is part of the Trailsplus Mountain Series and uses mountain single-track through coastal hinterland.

Distances offered:

  • 6km
  • 14km
  • 25km
  • 42km
  • 50km
  • 75km

All races start from the Cumberland River Holiday Park. Most routes include single trails and, on the longer distances, runners visit up to six waterfalls. Every distance begins with three river crossings within the first 2 km, with water depth varying from ankle to knee depending on recent rainfall. Course layouts were updated for 2025, with the 6 km route unchanged; downloadable course maps and GPX/CRS files are provided for each distance.

The 75 km race was introduced in 2025. Bibs are not mailed; collection takes place on the morning of the event. The holiday park offers on-site accommodation in cabins and tent sites, allowing direct access from lodging to the start area and space for pre and post event activity. Trailsplus donates $1 per participant to Canteen; the organisation reports cumulative donations exceeding $80,000 and notes a $350 donation related to the 2025 event.
