Surf Coast Wonderfalls Trail Run - Trailsplus Mountain Series

The Wonderfalls Trail Running Festival takes place on 15 August 2026 near the seaside town of Lorne in Victoria. The event is based at Cumberland River Holiday Park on the Great Ocean Road and accesses trails in the Otway mountains.

The course combines multiple river crossings, including sections across the Cumberland River, with coastal bushland, forest trails and waterfall scenery. Runners encounter singletrack through the Otways, steep climbs and technical descents. Course maps and GPX files are provided for each distance.

Distance options cover short trail runs through to long mountain distances, giving a range of route lengths and terrain in the same event:

  • 6 km
  • 14 km
  • 25 km
  • 42 km
  • 50 km
  • 75 km

Wonderfalls is presented as the third event in the Trailsplus Mountain Series; the series comprises five Victorian trail races spread across the year. Trailsplus donates one dollar from each participant entry to Canteen, the Australian organisation for young people living with cancer, and has passed total donations of ninety thousand dollars to that charity.
