Surf Coast Wonderfalls Trail Run - Trailsplus Mountain Series

Surf Coast Wonderfalls is a trail running festival held on 15 August 2026 in the Otway mountains behind the seaside town of Lorne, along the Great Ocean Road. The event base is at Cumberland River Holiday Park, 2680 Great Ocean Road, Cumberland River VIC 3232.

The courses pass through coastal bushland and forest, and include early crossings of the Cumberland River, climbs, singletrack sections, waterfall viewpoints and technical descents. Routes travel through a mix of river crossings, forest trails and coastal terrain typical of the Otways.

Race distances cover a broad range to accommodate different route preferences:

Course maps and downloadable GPX and CRS files are provided for each distance. Wonderfalls is the third event in the Trailsplus Mountain Series and is one of a sequence of Victorian trail races run by Trailsplus. Trailsplus donates one dollar per participant to Canteen, the Australian organisation for young people living with cancer, and has recorded cumulative donations exceeding ninety thousand dollars. A coastal trail event in Torquay on June 20 2026 offering marathon half marathon teams of two and a new 8 km singletrack option along the Surf Coast Walk.

Trail races on 5 July 2026 in Anglesea start on the beach and explore coastal clifftops and bush tracks. Distances range from about 4.3 km to 27.6 km with marked routes and water points on longer courses.

A club handicap race over 8.2 km in Anglesea on August 16, 2026, with start and finish at the Anglesea River mouth car park. Sponsored by Moore Than Fitness and listed by the Geelong Cross Country Club.

A coastal ultra in Anglesea on 12 September 2026 offering 100 km, 50 km, relay teams and a kids run, with seven checkpoints, guided training runs and post race celebrations.
