River Run Geelong is a community running event at Barwon Valley Park, Barabool Rd, Belmont. Distances offered:

The total field limit is 1500 participants, with the 10 km capped at 900 and the 5 km capped at 600. The event has reached field capacity before race day in recent years.
Race format, services and entries
All finishers receive a finisher medal. The 5 km course is open to walkers; the 10 km course is intended for participants who will jog the majority of the distance (completion guideline under 1 hour 30 minutes). Age categories include Kids (7-12, 5 km only), Junior (13-17), and adult decades up to 70+. Gold, Silver and Bronze medals are awarded in each age group for both distances; overall winners receive trophies. Results and prize placings are calculated on Gun Time. A presentation ceremony is scheduled at about 9:20 am.
On-course services include five drink stations at roughly 2 km intervals and first aid at the finish plus mobile first aid on bicycles. A secure baggage area will be open on event morning from 7:15 to 9:30 am. Personalised race bibs are available for registrations completed by 6 pm on January 20; a postage option for bibs is available for a fee. Entry transfers are not permitted.
