Sundowner 2026

The Sundowner is an annual summer evening running event held in Marbury Park, Northwich. Organized by the Comberbach Fete Committee, the event takes place on the paths and trails within the park grounds. The routes start and finish near the ranger's office by the main entrance.

Participants can choose between two distances:

  • 5 km race
  • 1 km kids' fun run

The 5 km race is open to adults and is gun timed, with results published online following the event. The 1 km fun run is categorized by age, with separate sessions for children under 8 and those aged 8 and over. All finishers in both distances receive a medal.

This charity event supports The Stroke Association. In addition to the races, the evening features various activities including a BBQ, bar, cake stall, and music. The event is open to dogs provided they remain on leads, and canicross participants are also permitted. Pre-registration is required as there are no entries available on the night of the event.
