The 5th Sundon Saunter is a long-distance walking event held on 16 November 2025. The venue is Barton-le-Clay Village Hall, MK45 4JY (grid ref TL 083 307). Parking is available at the village hall or at Arnold Academy, Hexton Road, MK45 4JZ (grid ref TL 086 305). Entries open on 1 September 2025 and close on 19 October 2025; priority entry is available to LDWA members until the closing date. Entry fees are: LDWA members £10, non-LDWA £15, under 18s free. The event currently shows 166 participants entered.

The 27- and 18-mile routes are open to walkers and runners; the 13-mile route is for walkers only. The walk follows mainly field paths, tracks, woods and some roads through undulating countryside with views from hills. Route descriptions and GPX files will be published on the BBN website by 6 November 2025 and must be downloaded and printed, as route descriptions will not be available on the day. Recommended equipment includes a compass, waterproofs, torch if finishing after dark, mobile phone and basic first aid. Maps covering the routes are OS LR165 & LR166 or OS EXP192 & EXP193 as noted.

Refreshments: drinks throughout, biscuits at the start, snacks at checkpoints and a light meal at the finish. Vegetarians will be catered for; vegan options cannot be guaranteed. Dogs are allowed but not in halls (except assistance dogs), must be on leads at all times and must have appropriate liability insurance. Certificates are awarded to all finishers; a badge is available on request. Retirements must be reported to a walk official and return transport is provided only from checkpoints.
