Sunday L.S.D Road Run at Commune Cafe, Temple Hill, Bristol

Left Handed Giant Run Club hosts a long slow distance (LSD) road run that meets at Commune Cafe in Temple Hill, Bristol. The event is organised by volunteers and takes place on road terrain. A bag drop is available. Runners are advised to bring water, snacks and a phone for safety or to arrange travel if needed.

The club runs with a front and back runner and regularly regroups. Steeper hills are walked, and when the group stops to regroup everyone waits together to recover before continuing. The group aims to adapt pace to the participants; a guide for the front of the group is about 5:45 to 6:15 minutes per kilometre.

The event includes route guidance and requests that each runner chooses a distance they are comfortable maintaining at a running pace. The organiser asks attendees to observe hand hygiene and social distancing where requested and notes basic attendee details may be collected for contact tracing. Face masks are recommended inside the venue.
