The 2025 Summit for Life takes place on December 6, 2025 in Aspen, Colorado. The event is organized by the Chris Klug Foundation and includes three options: an uphill race (Summit for Life), a gondola ride (Ride for Life), and a virtual option. The uphill route climbs 3,267 vertical feet over 2.5 miles to the summit of Aspen Mountain. The post-race gathering is held at the Sundeck Restaurant and includes a meal provided by The Little Nell, live music, and an awards ceremony.

Format, registration and fundraising

Registration is available for in-person and virtual options; listed prices show the in-person events at $77.75 and the virtual option at $26.25. The uphill race and the ride together are limited to a maximum of 425 participants by permit. Children 8 years old and younger may participate free of charge but must register. Participants in the uphill event must meet a minimum fundraising commitment of $100, with fundraising due by December 4, 2025. Registered participants who do not reach the minimum will be charged the remaining amount and refunds or transfers are not permitted. Prizes and awards are given for top fundraisers, fastest finishers in several age and gender categories, fastest team, and other recognitions such as best dressed and farthest travel. Experience the beauty of the Roaring Fork Valley with a point-to-point trail race from Carbondale to Basalt. Choose between 10-mile and 28k distances featuring iconic single track trails and a festive finish at Rock Bottom Ranch.

A 20K run clockwise around Turquoise Lake near Leadville, CO, mixing 6.5 miles of hilly paved road with 5.5 miles of single track trail, with proceeds supporting Leadville youth athletics and a nominal day use parking fee.
