Leadville Turquoise Lake 20K

The Leadville Turquoise Lake 20K is a distance run around Turquoise Lake near Leadville, CO. The course proceeds clockwise around the lake and combines different surfaces: the first 6.5 miles are on hilly paved road, and the final 5.5 miles follow single track dirt trail. The route passes along the shoreline and through mountain scenery.

Event proceeds benefit Leadville youth athletics and recreation programs, including Children's Fishing Day and the Nordic team. Entry fees are listed as Adult $40 and 17 and under free. Registration closes on Sat, May 30.

The start and finish take place at Matchless Boat Ramp in the Turquoise Lake area. Parking at the site is extremely limited; organizers request carpooling. Rocky Mountain Recreation charges a nominal day-use fee of $11 per vehicle at Turquoise Lake. Vehicles already staying in a Rocky Mountain Recreation managed campground in the area are not required to pay the day-use fee provided the campground hang-tag is displayed.
