adidas Terrex Après 5K Trail Run
The adidas Terrex Après 5K Trail Run is an evening 5K on the trails of Vail Mountain with the start and finish at Nature Valley Mountain Plaza. The event is held as a single mass wave; start positions within the wave are not pre-determined and participants choose their own position.
The course includes a mix of Forest Service access dirt roads, uneven and rocky sections, grass, loose gravel and undulating single track. There is one on-course aid station offering water and sports drink. All on-mountain aid stations are cupless; participants receive a collapsible cup at the race start for use during GoPro Mountain Games run events. Strollers and dogs are not permitted on the course. Athletes must follow black signs with green arrows and may be disqualified for deviating from the official course or for unsporting conduct.
Age categories are provided for youth (multiple age bands), Men and Women in decade groups up through 70+, and a Nonbinary category. Athlete age category is determined by age on Dec 31, 2026. The course map will be available one week prior to the race and registration for the event closes on June 4 at 6:00 PM.
Price tiers were published for early bird, standard, and late registration. All athletes receive an athlete bag, access-related benefits, and a chance to enter daily prize drawings. Prize details are to be determined. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
