Vail, United States • 7 Jun 2026
adidas TERREX 10K Spring Runoff
The adidas TERREX 10K Spring Runoff is a mountain trail race on Vail Mountain at nearly 9,000 feet. The event uses Vail Mountain trails and the course starts and finishes in Nature Valley Mountain Plaza. The official distance is 10 km.
The course features constant elevation changes and a range of surfaces, including Forest Service access dirt roads, uneven rocky sections, grass, loose gravel and undulating single track. There are two on course aid stations offering water and sports drink. All on-mountain aid stations are cupless; participants receive a free collapsible cup at the race start for use during run events. The course map will be made available one week prior to the race.
Racing format and rules specify a single mass wave. For 2026 the start format changed: the 10K and 20K start at the same time and start positions within the wave are not pre-determined; athletes are responsible for positioning themselves. Athletes must follow black course signs with red arrows and will be disqualified for deviating from the official course. Strollers and dogs are not permitted on the 10K course. The clock begins at the posted race start for all athletes.
Age categories range from Youth (12-14) through Men/Women 70+ and include a nonbinary category. Minimum age to compete is 12 based on age at the end of the 2026 calendar year.
Pricing tiers and a total prize purse are published for the event. The total prize purse is $12,200. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
