Mountain Games - 10k Spring Runoff

Vail, United States • 7 Jun 2026

adidas TERREX 10K Spring Runoff

The adidas TERREX 10K Spring Runoff is a mountain trail race held on Vail Mountain at nearly 9,000 feet. The 10K course features constant elevation changes and a mix of terrain, including Forest Service access dirt roads, uneven rocky sections, grass, loose gravel and undulating single track. The race starts and finishes in Nature Valley Mountain Plaza.

The event uses a mass-start wave. For 2026 the start format changed so start positions are not pre-determined; the 10K and 20K begin at the same time and athletes position themselves in the start area. All course markings are black signs with red arrows and participants who deviate from the course will be disqualified. No strollers are allowed on course and dogs are not permitted in this race.

There are two on-course aid stations supplying water and sports drink. All on-mountain aid stations are cupless; participants receive a free collapsible cup at the start line to use during run events. The course map will be available one week before the race.

Age categories range from Youth (12–14) through multiple adult age groups and include a nonbinary category. Minimum age to compete is 12 years old based on age at the end of the calendar year. The total prize purse for the event is $12,200, with top open payouts for men and women. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
