Stoneman Trail 14K

The Stoneman Trail 14K is a sunset trail race held on February 6, 2027, at McDowell Mountain Regional Park near Fountain Hills, Arizona. The course covers 14K / 8.6 miles on smooth desert trails and follows a route that begins on the Pemberton Trail, connects to the Granite Trail, makes a clockwise loop using the Stoneman Wash and Bluff trails at about mile 3, then retraces Granite and Pemberton back to the start/finish area. Trail markers and a few additional markings are used at key intersections.

There are two aid stations on course supplying water and Gu products; participants may choose to carry their own water and are advised to bring sunscreen. As of 2026, park entry is $10 per vehicle. Inside the park, follow the main road past the Visitors’ Center, pass through the gate, turn right onto Shallmo, and proceed to the large parking area at the end of the road. Posted speed limits should be observed.

Packet pickup takes place at the start/finish area from 3:00 to 3:30 PM, with a course briefing at 4:15 PM. Lodging options are available in Fountain Hills and nearby Scottsdale; camping may be available in the park and showers are provided near the start/finish for a minimal fee. February temperatures can range from 35° to 95°.

Awards include overall male and female winners plus Masters and Super Masters. The event is listed as Race #2 in the McDowell Mountain Cup series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
