Stone Steps 50K and 27K Trail Run is Cincinnati's longest running ultra-marathon, held in Mt. Airy Forest just outside downtown. The event offers a 50K and a 27K loop on single-track trails through 1,469.9 acres of forest, featuring lush evergreens, hardwoods, meadows, and ridges.
The 50K covers four 5+ mile loops and three 3+ mile loops; the 27K uses two 5+ mile loops and two 3+ mile loops, with aid stations at the end of each loop. Expect a hilly, roots-and-rocks course with mud possible but usually dry, well-marked routes and chip timing. Race headquarters are at The Oval, with tech shirts and a supportive community.
