Dirt Days Trail Series - East Fork SP Trail Run

The East Fork SP Trail Run takes place at East Fork State Park in Bethel, Ohio. This event is the original race of the Dirt Days Trail Series and utilizes the established Backpack Trail. The course is situated on the south side of the lake, with the start and finish lines located at the South Beach area.

Participants run through a densely wooded environment. For the 2026 edition, the course follows a clockwise direction. Available distances include:

  • 5.6 miles: A single lap of the wooded trail.
  • 10.8 miles: A two-lap version of the course.

The event includes a Trekker category for both distances. This option is designed for participants who require more time to finish or prefer an earlier start. Those in the Trekker category receive a recorded time and credit for participation, although they are not eligible for competitive race day awards.

Registration for the event is handled exclusively online, including on the day of the race. Age-based awards and random prize drawings are provided for each event. All participants must complete their first lap by a specific cutoff point before course sweeping begins. The park is accessible via Route 125, and the event center is located at the South Beach area.
