Star City San Bruno Mountain Half Marathon

The Excelsior Running Club organizes the 8th Annual Star City San Bruno Mountain Half Marathon, scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2026. This trail event takes place on San Bruno Mountain and offers participants views of the Pacific Ocean, the Bay, and the San Francisco skyline.

The course consists of the following distance:

  • Half Marathon

The route is composed of 93% trail and includes approximately 2,400 feet of elevation gain. The terrain features a single track downhill section. The event was established by local runners to highlight the trail system of the mountain and provide a community-focused racing experience.

Registration for the event includes a finishers medal and a meal provided after the race. Participants who register by September 20, 2026, also receive a commemorative t-shirt.
